Therapy for Women in Eugene, Oregon
You’ve spent a lot of your life taking care of everyone else. Maybe it’s time to make some room for you.
Maybe you’re in the middle of a divorce, questioning a relationship, raising children, watching them grow up and need you differently, or trying to make sense of experiences from long before any of that. Maybe nothing is obviously “wrong,” but the life you’ve worked so hard to build doesn’t feel quite the way you thought it would.
You may be the person everyone counts on. The one who handles things, keeps going, and figures it out. And somewhere along the way, it can become surprisingly easy to lose track of what you need, what you want, or even who you are outside of all the roles you fill.
Maybe you’re not falling apart. You’re just tired of holding everything together.
You can be capable, successful, loving, and deeply grateful for your life and still feel overwhelmed, resentful, lonely, or disconnected from yourself.
Sometimes the patterns that helped you survive earlier parts of your life become exhausting later on. Being the responsible one. Keeping the peace. Anticipating everyone else’s needs. Avoiding conflict. Saying yes when you want to say no. Holding everything together because somewhere along the way, you learned that was your job.
Therapy can be a place to get curious about those patterns without judging them. We can look at where they came from, how they’re showing up in your relationships and your life now, and whether they still deserve the amount of power they have.
You might recognize yourself here if...
You’re exhausted from being the person everyone depends on.
You find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no.
Your relationship is changing, ending, or leaving you wondering what you want.
Motherhood has changed you in ways you weren’t prepared for.
Experiences from childhood are still showing up in your relationships, parenting, or the way you see yourself.
You’ve gotten really good at keeping the peace, even when it costs you something.
You’re navigating divorce, separation, an empty nest, or another major change and aren’t quite sure who you are on the other side of it.
Or maybe you can’t point to one specific problem. You just know you don’t feel like yourself anymore.
You don’t have to figure it all out before you walk through the door.
You don’t need to arrive with the right words, a perfectly defined goal, or a clear explanation for why you feel the way you do. We can start with what’s happening right now and get curious about the rest together.
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that the patterns you developed usually make sense when we understand where they came from. Rather than treating you like a collection of symptoms to fix, we’ll look at your experiences, relationships, strengths, and the stories you’ve learned to tell about yourself.
There will be room for the hard stuff, but therapy with me isn’t meant to feel cold or clinical. There will also be humor, honesty, probably some laughter, and an occasional swear word when the situation calls for it.
Safety is the foundation. Relationship is the catalyst.
Maybe therapy is where you get to make some room for yourself.
You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to ask for support. Therapy can be a place to understand yourself more deeply, untangle old patterns, strengthen your relationships, and begin making choices that feel more like your own.
I offer in-person therapy for women in Eugene, Oregon, as well as telehealth for clients throughout Oregon and Idaho. Whether you’re navigating relationships, motherhood, divorce, childhood wounds, a major life change, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. We can start wherever you are.
