Therapy for You.
A little about me.
My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins when we feel seen, heard, and connected to ourselves and to others.
I am a mother of four adult children and a proud Grammie to a spunky little granddaughter and a squishy baby grandson. Some of my greatest lessons about resilience, connection, and love have come through the relationships I hold most dear, and experiences I thought might destroy me.
My professional journey began in healthcare, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and working as a labor and delivery nurse. While I valued the opportunity to support families during significant life moments, I felt called toward work that focused more deeply on emotional healing, belonging, and human connection. That calling led me to establish a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a place where young people could feel accepted, valued, and connected regardless of their circumstances or backgrounds. Through that work, I witnessed the profound impact that safe relationships and supportive communities can have on a person's life.
Today, I work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's challenges, relationship struggles, transitions, trauma, anxiety, and personal growth. I also continue my commitment to serving vulnerable youth through my work with Thrive House and Hosea Youth Services, providing therapy, connection, and support to homeless youth and young adults.
My approach is warm but challenging, collaborative, and relationship-centered, creating a safe space for insight, healing, and meaningful change. While therapy often involves exploring difficult experiences and emotions, I don't believe growth has to happen in a sterile or overly serious environment. I bring authenticity, curiosity, humor, and, on occasion, a well-placed swear word into the therapy room. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as your full self, and where I can show up as mine. Research consistently shows that one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy isn't a particular technique, it's the relationship between you and your therapist. When you feel understood, supported, and actively involved in the process, meaningful change is more likely to happen.
At The Relationship Studio, I view therapy as a creative and collaborative process. I view healing through the lens of the nervous system, relationships, and life experiences. Just as a studio is a place for creating, designing, and developing, therapy can be a place to gain new insight into old patterns, reconnect with yourself, and discover new possibilities for growth.
When life changes and you find yourself unsure of what comes next, we'll begin by creating space to understand yourself more deeply, honor your story, and build a stronger relationship with yourself and those around you.
Looking forward to connecting with you soon,
